Painless Procedures: Getting Rid of Brown Spots

Young Lady Exposing Her Face to SunHating the sunlight doesn’t make you a vampire. It’s wise to avoid it since there are numerous side effects that come with overexposure to the sun and UV rays. One of these are brown spots.

Brown spots are the result of an increased production of melanocytes, which results in a darker skin. These uneven skin spots can make the skin look older. Thankfully, there are painless procedures to get rid of them.

Lemon’s Bleaching Power

Lemon juice maintains a soft and clear skin, and helps get rid of brown spots. Dilute fresh lemon juice with water or honey, and directly apply it on the affected area. Rinse it off with cold water after half an hour.

To get the best effect, apply twice a day for about two months.

Aloe Vera’s Healing Properties

Aloe vera helps with our skin’s regeneration and in getting rid of spots caused by sun exposure. Apply aloe vera gel or juice on the affected spot twice every day for a month. Leave it on for 30 minutes before washing the area with cold water.

Laser Treatment

IPL Photofacial treatment uses gentle light and electric energies to restore the skin’s youthful state and eliminate brown spots or broken capillaries. Although Dr. Leslie Gerstman says feeling a hot pinch for a fleeting moment is common, applying a topical anesthetic can make the experience more comfortable.

A Trusty Sunblock

It’s not too late to use sunblock even if you already have brown spots. It keeps existing brown spots from darkening, and helps prevent more from appearing. Get the sunblock that protects you from UVA and UVB rays, and with at least SPF 30.

The best and easiest way to maintain the youthful appearance of your skin is to avoid overexposure to the sun and to regularly use sunscreen when going out.
