Chan School of Public Health, said that there’s a strong biological push to overeat after fasting because appetite hormones go into overdrive when you’re deprived of food.
Drinking Slimming Tea
Slimming or diet tea’s general purpose is to suppress appetite and induce bowel movement. This is an effective way to lose weight in a short period of time. But, what you’ll lose is only water weight, not fat. Aside from this, losing water from your body also results to loss of electrolytes.
Eliminating Food Groups
Going on a diet that completely eliminates even one of the three most important macronutrients— protein, carbohydrate, and fat—isn’t healthy. Your body requires adequate amounts of all these. If you’re not getting it, you’ll end up feeling weak due to nutrient deficiency.
Purging is a disorder often associated with bulimia nervosa. After binge eating, a person forces themselves to vomit. Aside from the different psychological issues, purging also causes physical side effects. It can lead to throat swelling, dental problems, and broken blood vessels.
What Should You Do Instead?
The National Institute of Health suggested that making a lifestyle change is a better approach. In Durham, a weight management program does this by teaching patients a diet that will initiate weight and fat loss in a healthy way.
Keep in mind that weight isn’t gained overnight, so you cannot expect to get rid of it in a snap either. Proper weight loss may be a long process but it’s one that will pay off in the end.
